See what institutions are actually doing.

Move on what institutional managers are doing in your universe, not the headlines. A written report from SEC 13F filings: who owns it, who is adding, who is selling and where the capital is rotating.

An institutional positioning report turns raw SEC 13F filings into a clear read on your universe: which managers own a name or sector, who is building and who is cutting, and where institutional capital is rotating across your holdings or watchlist. We do the reading and the synthesis and hand you a written report with the conclusions, not a data dump. It runs on the same 13F engine behind The 13F, and the work is independent, by Tom Pickel, CAIA, with 12+ years in institutional markets.

What the report covers

The institutional picture across your universe, read and synthesized so you can act on it.

Ownership and concentration

Which institutions hold each name, how concentrated the ownership is and how that ownership base has shifted over recent quarters.

Manager activity

New positions, adds, trims and exits across the managers that matter to your universe, so you see who is moving and in which direction.

Capital flows and rotation

Where institutional capital is moving, into and out of names and sectors, and the rotation that the filings reveal underneath the headlines.

Common questions

Where does the data come from?

SEC 13F filings, the quarterly disclosures institutional managers are required to file. It is the same source and engine behind The 13F.

How current is 13F data?

13F filings are disclosed up to 45 days after quarter-end, so the report reflects positions as of the most recent filing deadline. It shows where institutions were positioned, which is how you read intent and flow.

How is this different from The 13F product?

The 13F is a self-serve product across 8,600+ managers. This is a written report scoped to your universe, with the reading and the conclusions done for you.

Can you track a custom watchlist or set of managers?

Yes. The report is built around the tickers, sectors or managers you care about, and can be repeated each quarter.

Is this investment advice?

No. It is an independent intelligence report on institutional positioning, not a recommendation to buy or sell and not regulated investment advice.

This report runs on the same SEC 13F engine as The 13F, the self-serve product across 8,600+ managers. For a single high-stakes call, see the investment decision memo; to weigh a fund or strategy, see alternative investment analysis. See the full advisory practice.
